Works have started to extend the car parking provision at the front of the school to allow part of the existing car park to become a new playground.
Works to form the new playground to the side of the school are progressing well and foundations have started to the temporary school accommodation. Read more

Carillion are the contactors constructing the new school on the grounds of the existing Hollingworth School as part of the Rochdale Building Schools for the Future development. Read more

Works have continued to the new access road to our site compound on the lower sports pitch. This week the road will be surfaced with tarmac at the tie in with Water Lane/Charles Lane and at the points where vehicles will turn off the road to access our compound and the construction site on the school grounds. Initial site fencing set up to separate site from School. 200m of fencing has been erected to enclose the end of the lower football pitch where we will be creating a contractors’ car park and setting up our main site offices during February. Until these offices are ready we have set up temporary welfare facilities beside the youth club. These will be moved as soon as possible and all site traffic will then use the right of way past Butterworth Hall. Read more
