Hollingworth BSF Bulletin 23/02/2010

What’s been going on
Works have started to extend the car parking provision at the front of the school to allow part of the existing car park to become a new playground.
Works to form the new playground to the side of the school are progressing well and foundations have started to the temporary school accommodation.
Works to the conference room and room 25 have been completed to provide new access routes through the school to the new classrooms we will be providing from 8th March.
Works are now underway to the route through e-learning and the science prep room.
Coming soon
-
Temporary accomodation
Over half term we will have a crane positioned outside the food technology classrooms positioning the temporary classrooms and LRC.
-
Service diversions
Power supplies will be installed from the existing school substation to the site of the new accommodation and services within the building will be adapted to accommodate the changes we are making. This will all ensure that power, heating, IT and alarms are maintained to the same standards as in the existing school.
-
Drainage
The permanent drain from the connection that we formed last weekend will be extended past the food technology and science classrooms to allow connection to the new building site.

John England – Carillion Project Manager
