At Hollingworth Business and Enterprise College we believe that I.C.T. is an essential aspect of College life.  We therefore strive to provide a complete I.C.T. learning environment for staff, pupils, parents and governors.   We have five main considerations:

• Regular and continuous staff and pupil training in the use of appropriate software and technologies including emerging technologies.

• I.C.T. provision should be seen as an agent for change, enabling staff and pupils to transform the way they work and learn.

• The use of I.C.T. in all subject areas both in and out of College to enhance understanding.

• Preparation for real life situations outside College and development of transferable skills, independent and group learning.

• A safe and supportive environment to maximise the benefits of I.C.T. and increase communication between the staff, pupils and parents of the College.

• To keep the technology as current and up to date as possible within the constraints of the budget.

The development of I.C.T. is an inescapable aspect of modern society.  At Hollingworth we aim above all else to ensure that I.C.T. is a fully integrated feature which enhances all areas of college life.
