Computer policy
The college will check all computer files held on it system and monitor Internet sites visited. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in line with the COLLEGE'S DISCIPLINARY POLICY if any of the following conditions are broken. Some sites are illegal and could involve the Police. A ban could also affect GCSE Examinations and Coursework.
Access must only be in your user area and with your password which must not be made available to any other person.
Use of the Intranet, Moodle and Squirrel Mail should be at the discretion of the teacher
Altering settings or corrupting files is forbidden
Any attempt to gain unauthorised access to programs and systems is forbidden
Software/hardware must be appropriate to the task being undertaken
Inappropriate messages must not be sent over the college network. Users are responsible for all e-mails sent and received. (If in doubt do not open)
Levels of language and content should be suitable for a college settings
Posting anonymous messages and forwarding chain letters is forbidden
Copyright of materials must be respected
Use for personal financial gain, gambling, political purposes or advertising is forbidden
