This evening is part of a programme that has been planned to help pupils make their GCSE choices.  It will give you information regarding National Curriculum Tests, the Key Stage 4 Curriculum and our Course Selection procedure.  It also provides an opportunity to talk to many of our subject leaders who will be able to give you details of the following subjects:

Information will also be given about opportunities for pupils to lease their own personal laptop computer.  Mr Smith will give a presentation on the use of laptop computers in college.

Present during this evening will be representatives from Oldham Sixth Form College, Hopwood Hall College and Connexions to give advice regarding post-16 courses.

7.00 pm Welcome and Introduction.

7.05 pm National Curriculum Tests.

7.20 pm Key Stage 4 Curriculum

7.30 – 9.00 pm Meet with subject leaders in the College Hall.
Subject leaders will discuss only the courses available and not specific
issues about individual pupil progress.

7.45 pm The Use of Laptops in College
This is a talk given by Mr Smith explaining how the use of laptop computers can enrich your son’s or daughter’s education. 

8.15 pm The Use of Laptops in College
This is a repeat of Mr Smith’s 7.45 pm talk
