NUT Strike 24th April 2008
As many of you will be aware, a teacher’s trade union, the NUT has decided to take industrial action on Thursday 24th April. Many of our teachers belong to the NUT and some of them, after lengthy deliberation, have decided to support the action. As a result we will not be able to open Hollingworth as normal on that day.
After a great deal of consideration we have decided that all pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11 will be able to attend Hollingworth as usual on Thursday 24th April. This will allow these pupils to continue their studies uninterrupted leading up to their important GCSE and KS3 exams.
However, pupils in year 7 and 8 will not be able to attend Hollingworth on Thursday 24th April. Whilst we acknowledge that this will inconvenience parents we hope everyone will understand that we have done our best given these challenging circumstances.
All pupils will attend as usual on Friday 25th April.
The school buses will operate to normal timetables on the 24th April.
